Volunteers

Volunteers are the heartbeat of this project. The restoration and revitalization of Canada’s oldest grain elevator is not just about preserving a building — it’s about building community, sharing stories, and creating something meaningful together.

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and abilities who want to be part of a once-in-a-generation heritage effort. Whether you enjoy meeting people, helping behind the scenes, or simply lending a hand when needed, there is a place for you here. Volunteers will play an important role in supporting guided tours, special events, community gatherings, and fundraising initiatives as the project grows. Just as importantly, volunteers help spread the word — sharing the story of the grain elevator with friends, visitors, and the wider community.

Some roles are outward-facing and social, such as assisting with tours, greeting guests, or helping during events. Others are quieter but equally valuable, including light logistical support, preparation work, or helping organize materials and information. As the project evolves, volunteer opportunities will expand, offering new ways to get involved over time.

No specialized experience is required — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine interest in heritage and community. Volunteers will be supported, guided, and appreciated, and their contributions will help ensure the grain elevator becomes a vibrant, welcoming place for learning, culture, and connection.

By volunteering, you become part of the story — helping transform a historic landmark into a shared community asset that will inspire visitors for generations to come.
